Decisions made today directly impact the future of our environment, culture, and economy. That is why HAA is committed to thinking about and investing in ideas and people in ways that promise better and more equitable solutions.

We are doing this is in three ways.

HAA is undertaking research to find solutions for current built and social issues. In association with colleagues in many disciplines, we are currently actively investigating solutions for climate and comfort in buildings, housing with a social purpose within a specific social setting, and energy generation on existing buildings.

We believe knowledge sharing leads to better outcomes, fostering a spirit of cooperation. To enable this, HAA is producing discussion papers on issues such as the environment, old buildings, repair maintenance, preservation viability, and response to climate.

Finally, we are committed to contributing to a better future by being actively involved in spheres of influence and decision-making. Our team is engaged at many levels with professional and research bodies seeking to improve standards and broaden thinking. We invest our practical experience and knowledge in the education of future architects and urbanists by ongoing involvement in teaching programs.
